Ilma is a 13-year-old girl who has been bullied by her best friend, Giorgio. They had a fight and he started to call her with nasty nicknames like b***h and w***e, but when he needed some help he was sweet and kind again.
At the beginning Ilma didn't react because she thought it would have ended, but this continued for a month. After this month she got tired and she told Giorgio's brother, Stefano, about what was happening, so that he would have solved the situation. At the beginning Stefano got mad at Giorgio, but then he said that Giorgio and Ilma should go out and make peace.
They did, but when they were alone Giorgio started to shout that she shouldn't have told Stefano about what was happening and began to beat her up.
Ilma had the bruises that Giorgio had given her for weeks and when someone asked her something she answered that stones hit her when she was swimming in the sea.
It is the first time that Ilma tells her story to someone and now she feels better. She should have told someone what was happening at the real beginning. She did, but as Stefano was just 15 he couldn't do anything to help her.
Here there is some advice in case you have problems like Ilma:
-Tell your parents or an adult that you trust about what is happening;
-Be strong. We know that it is difficult but if the bully sees you're strong he will not have the courage to attack you again;
-You have to understand that bullies in reality are just insecure and probably with big familly problems, so they just want to draw attention on them;
-Do not be ashamed of what is happening, it is not your fault;
-Ignore the bully.
